Pursuing on our Theravada Buddhism Discover we have met some Khmer Krom
Vietnamese people – well, saying Khmer Krom and also Vietnamese is quite
redundant, but acceptable -, in a way that have been really easy to us making
friends and among them some monks.
FozIber is deep interested and concerned about all kinds of ancient
civilizations because we know that one aspect and cause of the world of people being
unbalanced is to be out of the acknowledgement of their ancestry or, better,
the ancestry of each one or the basic identification phenomena of the self being.
Any animal, vegetable – and even more a human -, must know their only origins
because is this that concede all the capacities for survival and for a healthy
survival the being must be balanced.
Observing the World History we can not say that, for instance, the World
War II or the World War I has change the face of the world or the human
behaviour. To say this is a deep mistake. We, even, must not say that the Medieval time of the World… No! But what Medieval time, when
all kinds of times coexists everyday with the so called Modern World or,
better, First World? Every epoch coexists at any second of our lives but the
History, like the Literature, the Anthropology and the Sociology, at least,
needs this divisions in function of the civilizations for acceptable
expositions and, above all, as referential.
Because the FozIber team is concerned about human behaviour knowing that
this is an intrinsically issue of all Human History, we have decided to join –
we have join others already -, these Khmer friends. So, a Khmer Surin team has
decided - and very good indeed -, to open a great web at http://www.khmersurin.org and we are with them, at the same time
that our Khmer Krom friends have invited us to participate with them and vice
versa. Of course that we have accepted from this great friendship the web http://theravadakhmer.atwebpages.com (that will be also www.theravadakhmer.org) and is being developed and actually
already online.
We know that around the world the number of Theravada Webs is few, but
we know that this few is of GREAT SPECIAL QUALITY. Also FozIber knows that Khmer Surin
aspect like Khmer Krom aspect will be nothing if the ancestral culture will not
play there a main rule: the rule of identification.
Well, we are here speaking about identification and ancestry, like about
balanced or unbalanced people; if we are exposing about this is because we know
that the default references like these has been, during all the History of
Humanity, one of the main causes - if not the one -, of the difference between
balanced and unbalanced people. We know that a civilization needs at least two
thousand years of continuous life to have some deep roots and this is a great
basis to understand the stigmas of happenings.
Western society, for instance, has arrived already to twenty first
century under a pseudo Christianity Culture that has not improved anything more
than stress and aggressively behaviour. Even, we know that the Christianity is
yet only a way of speech and not a Western way of life. You see, there is much
more behind this Christianity; behind this there is a completely ancestry that
the Western people must keep aware of getting out of stress, i.e: inner
balance. The Japanese are an image – weak, you can said but in reality really
strong -, of the power of being deeply aware of ancestry.
This, our dear readers, is only a small exposition of what we will write
at FozIber but also at a special son or daughter of us and that is the web http://theravadakhmer.atwebpages.com without forgetting the first one we
mentioned. In this matter of Krom we intend to go deep like in what regards to
other very ancient cultures that will, for sure, produce balanced beings,
balanced humans in the deep sense of the Abhidhamma, The
Canon of the Theravada.
So, CONGRATULATIONS Theravada
Khmer Buddhism, our son, daughter or brother and may
we all make grow this so needed cultural identification. May all be human beings
live with the rights that, under the kamma, the
knowledge of the Dhamma will prosper to each and all of you, never forgetting
the Human Rights already conceded by the United Nations.
The deep importance of self identification of a civilization for a
better balanced people has nothing to be with self determination and, out of
the question, about independence of a territorial part of a country or any kind
of apart or discriminatory division as apartheid. In fact, the self
identification of a people moves and obliges to:

That the language of this ancient culture will reborn
and will be able to take shape for the modernity, i.e: be able to relate and
record the actuality and this means also be so alive that will be able to get
time for modernize (meaning: to be out of secrecy and stagnation).
2.
That all culture can be expressed in all forms and
shapes like at all the fields of knowledge.
Like jargon (slang and cockney) coexists in the daily speaking being despised
by people that are not aware of the language to write or relate a simple thing
without repetitions – they say correct words but use them too much because the
vocabulary is minimal in their minds. So, not being able to understand the
reason of the so called jargon terms, words or sentences, how can they are able
to imagine that this so called jargon is, lots of times, another language (an
ancient one) playing behind but with twisted (or not) senses?
We know that is “common” that the denominator that has agglutinated some
old countries to make a new one, acts usually in a way of absorbing words
(vocabulary) from each denominated that will categorize as the official
language. Even they change the alphabet shape… this has been one universal
attitude of the dominator related to the dominated, the master to the slave,
etc.
The lost of identification of the people, the subjugated ones, will be
translated in the future generations as aggressive acts, prostitution,
burglary, homicides, suicides and all
what is pernicious for each member of the human kind like, of course, to all
society of the country. Even because of this sickness we will observe
governments constituted by abnormal people that being far away from or
completely out of aware of their own ancestor culture is not able to govern in
a Democratic way, always walking imposing a Dictatorship, that will be more
militar as the growing of analphabetism of these matters: this way they are not
able to rule but only based on prison and killing, i.e, subduing as homicides.
The lost of identification will be related also to mental disturbances, a
higher number of abnormal babies, the
high levels of stress, anguish, abnormal people that has born really healthy
and all kind of psychiatric, hormonology aspects that will endure the hospitals
of a nation creating unnecessary expenses for the growing of the already so expensive
governmental health carry taxes… like, in same way, to the prisons expenses and
all the Court Rooms, lawyers, judges, etc, involved in these trials.
No one can absolutely guarantee that the single act of identification will
solve all problems of the state, but one thing we know for sure: that will
solve more than forty percent of this. But this Khmer Krom people are not only asking
for their own ancient language and culture, they are also asking for the
Theravada – and other religions there, even the minoritary
ones -, to read as Buddha have said « each one in his own language and culture
». We are sure that Buddha, Confucius and Jesus Christ were in agreement that
the word (message, teaching), will work when a person is studying in a language
that corroborates with them and also has the ancestral culture to compare…
because our minds work analogically so, we work by successive comparative
system: is the memorization way in a
healthy system that is understanding.
If a system represses the dominated when they are the unique members of
the people or, at least, the majority… so, the problem at this country, or
place, will grow as a snowball and nothing persists forever. Persistent are the
multi-secular and the multi-millenary cultures as the Khmer like many others
around this planet. For instance, USA (and others equal like Australia), has
decided to kill the most aborigines they could – aborigine is any native person
in any part of the world, and at USA the aborigines are the Indians -, but this
has happened under a conquered during a colonialist system that, unhappily, has
been an acceptable way and even for scientific proposes to know the
mysteries of this round planet, for instance. It’s really a stupid
argumentation but has been the European way of life for centuries. Now, Khmer
Krom comes out of the French colonialism to endure inner a pseudo communist
politic that has and yet is trying with deep effort to destroy the self
identification of the people. The members of the government forget that they
are also Khmer and that they are loosing by their own
analphabetism about their culture. This is clearly evident when they, instead
of basing their political system on their ancestor culture, only have “copy/paste”
from the Soviet communism. At least Mao Tse Tung – badly, but anyway -, has based is own communism in
the Taoism, his own ancestor culture.
The Theravada that we were looking for has made us travel for a long
time at the countries where this literature and way of life has been generated.
Our deep desire to know (understand) this so important Buddhist Canon have made
us be in straight contact with a people which name is Khmer. Well, all correct,
but the one thing that we were not aware was about a kind of Khmer division, at
least presented under different names or attributes. About the History you can
be sure that we are enough aware of that but these divisions are posterior…
And, by posterior, we want to say after the First and, essentially, the Second
World War.
Communism has been the great hope of millions of people like communism
is now the delusion of the same number, or more. What has failed was the human
kind mentality and not Communism and about this the Canon, the Abhidhamma, is quite clear: the Human Kind is not equal
having, even, deep cleavages in a spiritual level that has direct and immediate
reflexes on the human kind behaviour differences. Equality is yet, for now, a
utopia like to fly at the Leonardo Da Vinci time… of
course that the utopia today can and must be – in all what is humanistic good -
a reality in the future but never for all because the different gradations of
people must always exist inner this so bored relativity of ‘to be’.
Here we will not go to discuss the past history but the present acts.
But, of course, each time that the present inquires the past, the past will become
at our present-past text. The unique apology that we will make here is the same
that we ask to be applied to all the other countries: let the old survival
civilizations be alive! Give them a time for revival! Let the human kind
refresh themselves, stop the dictatorships i.e: any government must have
control on his country, elections are the nobless
oblige of this. The people ask for their governors to accomplish the
promises. If the essentials must not be denied – if a country looses their own
people, how can the government rule and ask for money (taxes)? If the essential is denied the dispersion will be present.
Present will be the poorness and the analphabetism and the disorder always
tends to get a shape of self-destruction.
We will continue writing based on Theravada Canon, about Khmer in
general, Khmer Krom in particular, like about all what concerns to this so
ancient and so perfect instruction documents, about balance, cultures,
languages and about all that will only enrich a country and the world. Let us
say that we will go to sculpt in a psychiatric way where the psychology will
not contemplate the psyche like the Canon expresses. And with this we meant:
psychology out of psyche in a way that psyche means soul; this way the
behaviour as it is under successive conditioned reflex.
